Ford sahara beige as i said before is exactly the same and you can get it in halfords....humbrol comes in small tinletts and you would have to either hand paint it or use an airbrush.

The original looks very much like the colour that modern-ish equipment racks were.  The name on the label of the tin of touch-in paint said "Light Straw".  Allowing for colour reproduction variables in the processing of the picture, any of the previous suggestions would be OK, but be careful of the "mustard" - there are many varieties all with their own colouring.

Hello tizdaz

You have my loyal support with you logic on where to put your posts. About 20 years ago I stripped down and refurbished the outer case of my wife's piano. I have a couple of good friends with lots of experience in the woodworking and furniture restoration trade and they were able to advise me. Had I been required to resort to the local library I would have looked in the woodworking section, not the music section under Piano's.

I look through Mayhem most evenings and pick out any new posts I think may be of interest to me. This does not necessarily include episode 24 of a long running post on a particular build and I would have missed your question on paint colour, on which I might have been able to help and if this was the case I could have chipped in with my 2 pennyworth. As it was, having built several Tugs, I did look at your post.

I would suggest to Neil that he takes a serious look at his attitude towards you, as I think it leaves a lot to be desired. I spent 40 years of my life flying aeroplanes, military and civilian, and after a while it became clear to me that because you have twice the experience of somebody else does not mean that you are twice as good. You are implying, Neil, that you have a lot of experience and therefore should be listened to and obeyed - purely because you do not agree with what tizdaz has done. His approach is not wrong - it is different, but not wrong.

A long thought about what you have said Neil, and in particular the rather rude and disrespectful way you have said some of it, would not go amiss. Nor would an apology.
