No i decided to take it home and put it in the loft so if anyone wants it, its still available. however it will go by the summer as im doing a loft extension  and it will be broken up if no one wants it. All the RC controllers that didn't sell were skipped along with chargers that no one wanted.

Surely a 99p starting price on an ebay auction is better than the skip, even if it only makes £50, it's still more than you get from chucking it in a skip!

As others have said, instead of skipping it, why not just do best offer & accept or ebay auction with no reserve?

At least then you will sell it & get some money instead of skipping it, doesn't make sense lol.

Sellers prerogative I suppose, but I tend to agree. Itís not the first time Iíve skipped something that certain people wanted, but wouldnít  put their hands in their pockets to pay for.
I would rather dump it than see these people get their grubby paws on it.

There are some miserable sods out there, always wanting something for nowt!!
Just my humble opinion.

I agree with you big_bri. I'm trying to sell a few items elsewhere but people only want it if they can have it for free. If they don't want to get their wallet out and help to support my hobby then I'm not going to support there's by giving my stuff away. I need the space so it will get binned.

I agree that some people expect things for free & like most of us, this is wrong, but when advertising something for £3-400+ & say if it don't sell it will get binned, would it not be better to sell it for less, this isn't giving it away, its just selling it at more afordable price to alot of people, surely its better than binning it & your still getting some money for it as your not giving it away?

Thing to remember with RC of any kind, is the hold value is poor (50% if your lucky) this even goes for RC models that have never been used! Ive sold many RC items over the years & most i've been lucky to get back 30% of it's retail value.

Anyway just a suggestion but why not advertise for 150-200 instead of 3-400? surely better than binning it & getting nothing :) ?

if you say your going to bin it or break it up after the loft,  is just bit stupid,  if it going to get broken up if not sold at that price offers near that price lower it, at least your still getting money rather then binning it getting zero,   ebay might get more then 300 or you might get less its still something, i got hms hood for sale yes i need room and space but just because it not sold yet i bin it or smash it up, but i do think that the comment that it being skiped and now another one after a loft is getting people wound up,

Am afraid I side with the OP on this one.  Far too many want something for nothing these days and just expect the world for free (this prevailing belief something is only worth what "I" want to pay for it).  Also, I stopped accepting "offers" on sales years ago as I found -(example) I said "£100, ono" I would get insulting offers less than half that.  It broke my heart to scrap a set of alloys and tyres recently, but they owed me nothing anyway and there was no way someone was getting them for less than half what I was asking (they were already priced well to sell, I lost very little by taking them for scrap!).

Sellers perogative -they can do what they wish and they've done nothing wrong here in my eyes, they don't need to justify anything.  I think Admin should tidy the thread personally.  It does nothing but harm reputation if another ad is posted later.

...Just my tuppenyworth.
