We have decided to do a second boat for the challenges next year.
The boat is a 1:12 scale Arun lifeboat.
I've cut the various pieces out. I had to cut a piece out on the fly bridge and cut the hull for access to motors and batteries etc...
Measured out, cut and fitted prop shafts and A frames.
She is going to have two powerful brushless motors.
So we have double the work to do.
Thank you to Martin at Macs Mouldings for supplying me with a big bag of fittings for it.
Here are a few pictures of what I have done today.
kind regards

Had a good day working on the Arun.
Got a build stand made and got the motors and rudders fitted in.
Going to get some more done on the Type 45 tomorrow.
Here are some pictures.

Sorry we haven't updated lately but its our holiday season at the moment. From May-September we are away for 1 week in each month. So it hasn't left us enough time to get on, what with work commitments as well. This coming weekend its full steam ahead.

I have had to use an extension prop to get the clearance to be able to get the motors and reduction gear in to the type 45 hull.
I will have to re take the pictures again as they are to large.

I have fitted the new motors to the type 45 today.
I am getting on with all three boats as I have a bit off time on my hands at the moment.
The Arun I have fitted new prop shafts.

Got a bit done today, had about 4 hour on the Arun.
Hoping to have a good day on the boats tomorrow.
Enjoyed doing some of the metal work.
Have a bit of time on my hands since I had a heart attack just before Christmas.
So making the most of the time I have of work.

Its nice when you start seeing the shape of the model and it looks more like a ship than just a hull. Now working on the mid deck.
