 :)

This morning, in wet and windy Basingstoke, several yachts were blown over in the gusting conditions.  Of these one sank but was recovered because of the shallowness of our pond.

Can Stavros tell me of any recovery facilities that may be available at this outing?

Is this it:- Just for you lot I have gone out and bought a rowing dingy to be used by ME and ME alone for recovery work on the main lake should someones pride and joy go awol

 :)

Banjo As another form of recovery i have a diver standing by just in case. The Lagoons you are sailing in are only around 5ft deep, the recovery boat is for this and if anyones model gets into trouble on the main lake which incidentally is 160ft deep 100yds down to the right of the lagoons. As some of the Makara club and hopefully the OMRA boys are coming down judging by piccies of their racing exploits I think it is only right I have a rescue boat don't you

I am reassured....

I don't intend to get out of my depth!

I had visions of you doing a Buster Crabb off the back of your dingy into 106' of water.

Ah ha Stav ha sa Master plan me gone out and bought an electric Mota so no rowing for me I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right then Stavros and Martin have come up with a Master plan for the LLanberis event we are going to have a sort of CLUB 500 Thingy Race.Reason for club 500 thingy is quite simple it is OPEN to ANY Electric model with a 500 spec motor so that includes springers, now me being me, of course will come up with a cunning plan and will think of some canaiving way to handicap the faster boats so to TRY TRY TRY and get a level playing field, lord only knows what that will be.The committe is out on that one allready.

OH AND BY THE WAY THE ORGANISER IS ALLOWED TO CHEAT   HE HE

Not that I think you will need any help Stavros, but fleet support is always available should you require low level battle support. O0

The water level must be high or there wouldnt be any need for waders in a boat, unless its a fetish thing!!

Thanks for your kind offer but alas we can't use petrol power on the lake due to it being a SSI, but I have an electric one
