insurance.
stav will you want my laminated full A4 sized cover note from NAME, (the insurers who PMBC deal with) or will club membership card do as it states:

Quote
The member / family named overleaf is a fully paid up member/family of the PMBC and is covered by Third Party Liability Insurance and is permitted to operate radio-controlled model boats of a type allowed at approved waters to current rules in force.
.

as for covering all eventualities stavros, i think you may need to hire a submarine and deep sea diving unit to retrieve the red pelican! :P

Ghost, the best one is where you are just totally submerged when standing up but we can see your eyes glowing under the water.... terror will ensue....

OK North Wales it is then, so it will be a straight running demo from one side of the lake to the other (if you see a boat without an arial please send it back to the other side of the lake) Looking forward to it Stavros.

Right just to give you an insight to what will go on over the weekend

Steering course and tug towing in the smaller of the lagoons
Free sailing in the larger of the lagoons
Night sailing organised by Ghost on the opposite side of the lake in the Lagoons
Free sailing and walks along the Lake organised by the Gwynedd Model Boat Group........ only the BRAVE need apply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There will also be a Footie yaught sailing Demo by members of the Colwyn Bay lads
Springer Footie He He STAVROS STYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DON'T EVEN ASK but it will be FUN FUN FUN

All agreed GOOD boy that lot seems like a good idea me thinks me is going to be busy!!!!!

Having spoken today to the lads at Padarn Park they are more than agreeable to have us there and have been so far very helpfull towards our needs so lets make it a good one.One thing I am afraid I have not been able to waiver is the car parkign charge which will be £3 sorry about that but hey what the heck we will have a good time.
A limited disabled parking will be available at the lake side but you will be able to drop off your boats off and I will also provide a trolley of some sort.
Ins will have to be checked prior to sailing sorry but it is a stipulation of the land owner
Ic Boats WILL BE ALLOWED on the main lake so MAKRA boys come on down

Great job you are doing there Stavros. Just a pity I can't make it from France this time.

I used to live in Chester and know the lake well, so beautiful. One of my all time favoured walking places. I even used the mountain huts with 50 sweaty and well drunk climbers!

Have a great event.

I shall certainly try and come, particularly as I'm going to miss Wicksteed. I've not been further in to North Wales than Llangollen before and then only for a rather damp evening prior to a business meeting and I'd really like to see some of that scenery - so do make sure you order up some sunshine Stavros!

Go to http://maps.live.com/

Enter Llanberis in the address panel and you will get a map - zoom in or out to get the scale you want.  Then click on aerial. zoom in and all the lake, lagoons , Slate Museum area and all will be shown in glorious closeup.

Click on hybrid and the road and town names  will be superimposed on the aerial view.

Just to whet your appetite some more this is where the event will take place

http://www.star-attractions.co.uk/attractions/gwynedd/padarn/padarn.htm

There is plenty for the wives and girlfriends and kids to do,Llanberis is only litterally a five minute walk away with craft shops and loads of cafe's including the world famous Pete's eats. You can go up Snowdon by train, you can go underground to see Electric mountain. If The wives want to go shopping well Caernarfon is 5miles away,Bangor10,and LLandudno 20miles.There is plenty to do for the whole family at Padarn park and the best thing about it is it's FREE.Yes Free admission to the slate museum, free admission to the Old Hospital which has been done up exactly as it would have been in the 1900's.There is a Miniature railway that runs along the length of the lake and also a pleasure boat that takes you for a cruise along the lake ,need I say more, some piccies to wet your appetite.
Views looking back at LLanberis from the venue and the train that goes along the lake shore.
