Flight Deck Fencing

Hi all


were can i get fencing from for a 1:92 scale warship,  i been told wire fencing from a garden centre for the flight deck but not sure what to get for fencing by the gun turret.


here are 2 examples to help you understand what i am looking for.

I would build up some frames, or etch some brass frames, and cement bridal tuille to the frames to make up the flight deck "fencing".

For the bow, I would most likely solder brass wire, or place brass stanchions and waxed thread.

ready made option is the best way for me as i struggle to make my own things need some one to solder for me,  i ask about the brass wire for the bow fencing and buy the fleet scale for the flight deck

or if you want a more solid look, use brass wire for the frame and for the netting use fleet scale netting sheet, fixed with solder paste.  Takes time but well worth it

Hi,


What I've used for my 1/96 scale RN ships, is net curtain , dip in 50:50 water & PVA glue. When dry this can be painted, also when cut it will not fray.


The attached photo is the upgraded nets fitted to HMS Clyde, these are the same as fitted to the Type 45. I know this is correct as the company that fitted them give me their engineering drawings.
