I have also read that Sievers are producing some Hamilton style Reversing Buckets, to fit the Kehrer / KMB Waterjets, which would look the business for anyone building the MBD Shannon. No details on the website about this yet though.

Edit: Just found this on the website :}

I received a cardboard box from Germany today containing the new mini-Mersey kit from Seivers  :-)

Thought you might like to see what you get for your money. I've not yet opened any of the bags but all looks very good quality and great value at 285. Full size plans and instructions in English are included. The only downside so far are the plastic parts have been milled and I now have a room full of thousands of tiny bits of plastic that have leaked out of the bags  %%

That looks absolutely beautiful RMH,.....I just wish it were in 1;12 scale............but better still, a 1;12 scale Tyne class boat...........

I'd be biting his hands off if one of those came to fruition

I'm with you on the Tyne kit Neil. It's the only one now missing from my must have list. I'll keep looking for a ready built one but it would have to be a really good one to get my money

There was a Tyne on ebay BUT I don't know weather it's 1:12 as for a kit try mount fleet models as he brought MID lifeboat moulds (as far as I know)

That GRP Hull looks good, it's not an easy thing to include the bilge keels and spray rails, like he's done here. I know - i've tried and failed to do that myself.
As far as a 1/12 scale Tyne Class is concerned, that would be a very large model, with a limited demand i would think. And to be honest, there are lots of other 1/12th scale Lifeboat kits and hulls out there to choose from, but far fewer options at a smaller scale. So i reckon there will be more takers for the smaller scale models. How about a 1/20th Severn for example?

The mini Mersey will sit nicely alongside the K&B 1/20th Brede I recently bought. At this small size they will make superb display models at home but they won't quite have the same presence on the water as their grown up sisters. If a 1/20th Tyne or Severn came along then I would get me wallet out again
