Why didn't the chicken cross the road?

 Because DHL couldn't deliver.

Not the only one either, the chippy behind the Norbreck run out of fish on the show weekend. Fleetwood is just up the road, big fishing port, very strange.nemesis

 Ned,
How can fish & chips be cheaper in Nottingham then in Grimsby could never work that one out  I know you're in the POSH end  but still should be cheaper just up the road.

                                           Regards Howard.

Hi TT, Billingsgate is too posh for that now.  I went a few years ago to a trade event and the place is really up market.
I remember seeing it in the 50s when it was a fish market and seeing a rat the size of a cat.

Luton is a bit too far for some of us to get to for chicken.

But this is an absolutely blinding recipe http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/07/the-food-lab-southern-fried-chicken-recipe.html
It says serves 3-4, you can double that.
It says use Kosher salt, sea salt will be fine, or half the quantity of regular table salt.

Well do your own Chicken fingers https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/patrick-and-gina-neely/tonys-chicken-tenders-with-honey-mustard-sauce-recipe-1951195 way better and you are in control.

The only KFC I "normally" buy, is the Asian specific "hot spicy chicken burger" and that is only available in China and Hong Kong as far as I know. It will instantly kill all bugs in your system ;-)

Back to KFC UK, they do suffer from the same decision that a big convenience store chain (COOP) did before Christmas in Denmark, some wise a.. excel masters calculated that they could save x amount of money be changing their "frost goods delivery company" well most of the shops were more or less out of the most basics things on frost for approx. 2 months, hmm what do the excel masters say about that cost ????

As a former high ranking person in Nokia said, "weller yua know it looks good on slides" = that is BS. Btw he left Nokia when he could see that BS were the new agenda in Nokia.

And who call the police because KFC is closed  %%

most chicken sold in the uk is bland and boring. it has no flavour and in most cases is factory farmed, so is fed on processed pellet food. the last chicken i bought from m and s was so bland ot went in the bin. the one before that was bought from an organic farm and c9st me an arm and a leg (£19) and tasted like i remember chicken as a kid. also is was not the bland pasty white like supermarket ones. this was a nice creamy yellow colour as it was fed with corn as part if its diet. now that was a delicious chicken. as i now eat very little meat im fussier over my choice.....except when being bought lunch by anyine. there is slways room for a bacon roll.....but KFC? Think I would rather eat my own pants.......more nutritional value and a better taste!

They haven't run out of chicken, it's sitting rotting in the depots because the distribution arrangements have fallen apart.

Some people must like it as the police have received 999 calls asking for help in getting some.... These people are presumably voters.

I wonder if KFC can claim damages for loss of revenue.
I also wonder if any KFC staff will lose wages because of the closures. Remembering that many branches are franchises. I am not sure if KFC operate zero hours contracts.
