Gluing rubber list on TAMAR
« on: February 26, 2018, 11:55:56 am »

I build Model Slipways TAMAR Class Lifeboat Scale 1:16 but with Speedline rubberist.
Now to my question. What "glue" do I attach it to the hull? With UHU Power or Stabilit Express?
Does the rubber list need to be treated before putting the "glue" on?

On my Slipway Tamar I used Loctite super glue gel to glue
the Speedline rubber fender only doing about 150mm at
a time.

Your Tamar looks fantastic Minimariner. Can you show us a few more pics please? :-)

the Speedline rubber fender only doing about 150mm at

I have also used a specialized "rubber" superglue to adhere rubbing strips to my boats...

I agree Charlie, with you and me and our photos, the last photo here could easily be mistaken for the real thing, especially with the figures just visible!
Wonderful detail and realistic finish Minimariner.

No problem. I have order Loctite supergel. Looking on all beautiful pictures and hopa my model is going to look something like a TAMAR.
But never so nicely like all yours.
Excuse for my bad english. Learn it in the end of 60`s. Nearly never use it.

Your English is a lot better than my Swedish! As I found when I was over for the rally the other day!

Best of luck with it and keep us posted  :-))
