What a great subject.  This has always been in contention since it's invention.

I always use a little drop and squash flat and hold for a few minutes, so I'm afraid my knowledge is limited.

It's easy to find the worst, when it falls apart.   :}

Very interesting. Nothing came out on top, they all had advantages and disadvantages in differing tests...conclusion, if what you use makes you happy, stick :embarrassed: with it.

There are also different grades of CA, from thin to gel. Each is designed for different materials. One brand might be thinner/thicker than another and better for specific materials. Kickers also help for some tasks.

I quite like the Gorilla, not least because it comes in a good size bottle with good cap which does not seize solid. If you want it to bed pretty instant a little moisture to one surface , breathing on it is usually enough.

Found my favourite about 2 years ago from Screwfix 50g bottle and cheap and I have to say it's pretty good stuff too, glues everything the rest will for 1/10th of the price  :-)) https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-superglue-50g/79181 and I had the first bottle open for over 1 year without it going off either
