Confused which connector??
« on: March 07, 2018, 10:04:56 pm »

HELP!!
I've just ordered a transmitter lipo battery to convert my tx but on hobbyking they say the charge connector is a JST-XH now I've used lipos lots before in my RC cars and they all used 4 or 6mm banana connectors to charge the JST-XH is just the balance lead, but hobbyking seem to suggest this is the charge lead  {:-{ or am I reading this incorrectly
this is the battery https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-1450mah-3s-11-1v-transmitter-lipoly-pack.html

{-) {-) {-) no that's true my transmitter currently uses 8 AA's hence the reason for changing although I have rechargables it's still not good so I need to open the back and swap the battery to circuit board lead over with one I've made up with a JST-XH 2 pin so I can always go back should I need to

Looking at all listings across the web they all say the same so I would say the misinformation comes directly from Turnigy and retailers just print what they are given.

The receiver batteries use the JR and I'm sure the Chinese have just not understood in Engrish that the TX is different

I have submitted a comment on the listing for them to chew on.

Hi
The charge and discharge connectors are described the wrong way around. Transmitters do not use a JR connector, that is the charging point.

Quite right too Dave  :-)) I normally buy from the component shop too very good quality been bitten before, but on this occastion I couldn't find a lipo that was 14mm thick on their website I searched twice, but I found them straight away on hobbyking so they got my money this time but I have to say you will find it hard to beat hobbykings prices on lipos
