Book list
« on: March 12, 2018, 02:50:10 pm »

Hi All,
On one of the other forums I maintain a book list that has been made a sticky. I update the first post with information as it comes in. I was wondering what the thoughts are about duplicating it on here?

I for one welcome all information available.
I am not a book collector but will buy one if it can up my skill level.

If you do maintain the list, I would ask for a little information on the content, and
also it's "level" - ie - practical w/ examples,  vs. theoretical.  or "How to" vs "Why"

But needless to say the info hopefully includes things like Date of pub, publisher, isbn number (if avail)

Thanks for your efforts,

I think it a good idea , I would also support a book sale/exchange (perhaps % to MBM) . Over many years I have accumulated a vast number of books, from an early version of ARCHITECTURA NAVALIS MERCATORIA to PATRICK O'BRIAN NOVELS, but the only book I re-read on occasions is BILLY RUFFIAN. The rest just sit in the cupboard crying out for someone else to read them.

Hi Derek,
We are down to one member at the present, the other member of the salt and pepper team ( one pure white cat and one almost black one) passed on a few years back. The better half keeps suggesting a small dog to keep the other member company.

If the owners/ moderators of the forum would reply yes I will start working on it this weekend.
Gerald.

You are welcome to start ANY lists of books you think will of benefit to members.

great idea. Really could just put a sticky at top of a few sections like 'STEAM RESOURCES'   or 'SAIL RESOURCES'  Posts could be short w/basic description of said resource....
