« on: March 13, 2018, 08:33:15 PM »

I'm looking for a miniature piano hinge.
Stainless steel, or brass if not. NOT brass coated.

open width 10mm, 12 at the most.

Thanks

Have you tried a hinge from an old glasses case, I have removed the hinge from the case removed the spring and I have used them on deck box covers etc. no problem.

Glass case hinges are probably
prone to rust in a marine environment.
Have you had a rust problem John?

No rust problems, I think you'll find they are stainless steel. Mine were.
But can,t say if they are on other glass cassette.
5 years use on one boat no rusting, works a treat.
just an alternative and probably an overlooked one at that.
