Amlwch Pilot Boat

This was a hull I asked about on Mayhem months ago and didnt know what to do with,but one night whilst out fishing it came to me when a Pilot boat passed where I was.

The hull until recently had lived  under my bench awaiting further develpoments so to speak....I had allready built the superstructure and fitted the deck around xmas time the year before last...Yes I do work slowly.


The hull and superstructure were taken into work to be Primered up with 2k primer simply as I use it every day and we allways throw some way so it would have been rude not to use it up !!


The hull came home in Primer and was overcoated with Satin black firstly then The red oxide antifouling was then applied the next evening.

The cabin roof was made and also a mast was constructed out of Brass and the port and stbd boards were also made

This weekend Painting was the name of the game,I also Made some boat hooks up out of some Keebab sticks and some brass rod

Another superb project, the paint job shows you have not lost your touch!!!!  ps. which VW orange did you use???
