Radio gear for 1/32, Thames sailing barge
« on: March 27, 2018, 02:51:49 pm »

I am building the original HFM barge and need to buy the RC equipment. Have had a look at the Turnigy i6 and looked at a few of the discussions on here, they seem to be mixed, like so many questions in life. Will need to purchase a servo for the rudder and one for the sail winch. Never bought RC gear before, have no idea as to the power / torque required for the servos.

A standard servo will operate the rudder with no problem. I have also used them for my yachts without a problem but a dedicated sail servo will definitely be ok. \I used the Futaba one.
