smoke generator
« on: May 12, 2018, 08:13:50 pm »

Good evening everybody i hope i am in the right place.
Im Robert  a member of the Chelmsford  Society of Model Engineers I have recently completed a Model Slipway Aziz but my question is regarding the other arm of my interest namely 5" gauge ride on railways.
I am looking to fit a smoke generator  in one of my Diesel locomotives and you appear to be the main users in the boating fraternity.
I need a unit with a large capacity/duration typically 3/4 hours.
I have seen a unit at Harbor Models in USA but cant get a response to my E Mails.
Has anyone dealt with this company before or know of another company that may be able to help?
The locomotive is 24 volt DC powered by two 12 volt traction batteries via an I Drive Electronic speed controller.
Heres hoping
Many Thanks

Good Morning all,
Thanks for all of your suggestions and help in my quest for a smoke generator.
Marks Model Bits has come up trumps with a custom build exactly to my needs and may well have it to me by the weekend.
So once again

Thank you all for your time

 Hi there
You can get all the bits off E Bay from China and then build the water container to the size of the model and these work very well
If you like I can give you details
