Model Slipway Tamar
« on: June 01, 2018, 04:43:45 pm »

Currently building one of these kits for a fellow boat club member and have a query regarding the assembly of the fittings that represent the throttles.  The kit has some die cast parts (T35 in parts list) and a sketch on sheet 1 of the plans indicates them with the addition of a couple of 6mm lengths of 1mm dia brass wire.  What I cannot make out is how the whole is supposed to be fitted.  Any previous builders offer help. (Or a pic of yours)

Manofkent,

The only close up photo I have of the part I think you are
looking for is slightly out of focus. I didn`t use the white
metal parts, I remade it out of ABS and brass parts.

Bryan.

That's grand, I can see how it should be from that.  Did you make the handle on the bow thruster control?

ABS tube and flat for base, brass for the boss
and handle, ABS for the knob.
