haveing been away from model boating for over 20 years now
I decided time to get back into model boating my heils  are getting to fast now  so I managed to get hold of an early caldercraft imara twin screw kit that had been in a loft for a number of years
The kit is untouched  :-))
 Am I need of some information on the range of motors that are now suitable to fit the model as I can not find any decapems to fit
Some help please

The world is your lobster nowadays :}  For torque purposes brushless outrunners require a complete rethink on motor drives, but basically you'll get more torque from them than you get from a blower motor and in a package that is a quarter of the size!


blower motors or even standard dc motors aka 500 series etc = lead acid batteries (old school)


brushless motors = LiPo batteries (new school)


but there can be lots of mixing and matching among them, as I said the world is your lobster, check google or even the local club and get plenty of advice before plumping for your system. The caveat being, if you are knowledgable about standard dc motors, stick with them.
