Star Yacht Fittings needed.
« on: February 04, 2023, 04:13:11 pm »

I picked up a Star yacht from the (possibly) 1930s from a local charity shop and it is sadly in need of restoration. I have prepared and repainted the hull but the mast to hull fitting is missing. Can anyone help by suggesting a firm that produces replica parts? Failing that, some where I can find measurements to get a new one made. Many thanks in advance.

Nothing complicated on Star yachts; in the 1950s, we used to cut out and bend sheet brass to make replacements.

Parts catalogue by model....   https://www.birkenheadstaryachts.co.uk/mounts.htm

Thank you for both links. Having followed them up I found a stage by stage renovation that will be very useful, and someone that will supply the parts I need. Once I have them I can get on with the job.
