I wasn't going to buy another boat after my Wicksteen buying day!! boy you lot better keep away from me with boats for sale  {-) {-)


But I couldn't help my self.. I am not into Navy boats but I saw this and thought ... now I like that.. it's different
Bought from a nice chap local to me.. it's full of LED's and some radar thing that spins.. ( Noisy though!! )


I am really taken by it.. I am going to change the inside to take 2 battery not one as it's 2 motors so I want to make sure its not going to eat up my battery power too quick..


I was told it's a fast patrol boat.. I am sure it is.. but I started a repaint as it's just got some storage and being used bumps and bashes nothing hard.. but a little tinker here and there..

Looks like a patrol boat built by Vosper for the Malaysian navy called the "K.D. Sri Kedah".

I couldn't leave it alone.. it's already de stickered and sanded and in primer!!!!!!


Poss top coats Wed night... for the hull..

I  think this model was built from a Veron kit.
I did own one and converted it to twin props and rudders. It had previously been made into a 'straight runner with the addition of 2 enormous twin tinplate keels. It was a lot of work.
If my memory serves me correctly the hull was approx. 55 inches.
Google 'Veron Vosper Fast Patrol Boat' and you will find plenty of images.
