Tug motors

(1/2) > >>

madrob:
Has anyone ever used this type of motor in a tug...its a early MMM motor.

gingyer:
is it a smith fan motor?

think you will find its meant to be 24v...
brilliant for fast scale models

big_bri:
Yep, Smiths type fan motor, a great motor.
I had one in a 1/32 scale tug running on 12V, turning a 70 mm prop in a Kort nozzle and it was pretty powerful and efficient :-))

madrob:
i have a pair of them, came with a eldergarth tug hull.
wondering if you can get some kind of mounts for them

Klunk:
cable tie it to a plank of wood in the bottom. or a large jubilee clip
