Cabin and wheelhouse construction for Seaplane Tender
« on: July 28, 2018, 01:20:09 pm »

Is there anyone who can help me with their knowledge/or photos of how to construct the cabin and wheelhouse sides for a Seaplane Tender.
I am using the plans from hobbystore but not able to determine the sizes or how to construct from the plans.
Thanks.
Nordlys.

I've been so busy this week, I completely forgot...…..which parts do you need measuring....is it the rear section, the front section or both....let me know and i'll measure it and draw a diagram or two for you.

width, height, length,  angles...….just let me know

Ah Neil!  Actually I would like measurements for the sides for both Wheelhouse and Cabin if possible?

Thing is, the plans obviously show the outline but I cant determine an actual size of either - basically Im not reading the drawing that well!
Any sketches or photos would be really useful - thanks!

Thanks Neil - great help. I'll take off 2mm all round for the dust thickness!

Ha Ha! looks so much smaller now!

My model has just a small curve at the rear of cabin compared to your much longer sweeping sides. Interesting.
I'll have to post a few photos once I get underway.

Many thanks Neil.

There were maybe detail differences between individual boats. Thes pics were of ST 206 1n 2010 on her final run after restoration off Newhaven before being transported to Hendon. I took dozens of photos.

Thanks Colin, I'm using your pictures to pick out detail thats not so clear on the plans. For example I've copied the engine covers shown in your photos
rather than the slanted ones that are drawn in the plan.
I wonder why Pritchard drew these covers different to what is on 206?

You did send me several photos way back in reply to one of my posts.

Mayhem to the rescue!
