What is MK 1 bore ?

Hello.

I have a Proxxon PD 250e lathe arriving shortly and want to get a tailstock chuck in readiness for it.
Proxxon say that the taper in the tailstock is MK 1 but I can't find any information anywhere as to what MK 1 taper is.
Does anyone know ?

Mike.

TailUK:
Pretty sure that it's a way of referring to Morse tapers.  MK 1 is, apparently another way of describing a MT 1 or No 1 Morse taper. Loads of them on fleabay.

Andyn:
Mk1 is the same taper used on the Myford ML7, only the PD250 is using a shorter version of it. Axminster stock a 10mm chuck for it https://www.axminster.co.uk/proxxon-10mm-tailstock-chuck-for-pd-230-e-and-250-e-475337

Thanks everyone.

Apparently there is no alternative to the Proxxon genuine item so have ordered one from Germany at a far lower price than here in the U.K.
