I'm interested in a side paddle boat and have tried to get in contact with Clyde model boats I see the site but no product showing are they still doing paddle wheels and are they still in the hobby.

I know that there have been issues with Clyde Model Boats but until they sort themselves out I wouldn’t risk buying from them. I’m still waiting for my set of paddle wheels I bought in June 2017 as is my friend.
I too would be grateful if anyone knows what is going on as they had some stunning products at the CADMA show last year and I like to see the best in people but if they don’t reply to you then you have to ask yourself if whether you’re going to receive your order.

I was looking for something from Clyde a while back but I got the impression it wasn't trading or never got going.  I don't really know.
On the other hand, if you're looking for paddlewheels I stumbled on somebody on eBay a while back.  I posted up details on here but can't remember where now.

Their eBay name is eliteguitarplans.  "John Anthony Guitars".

(I can't seem to remove the hyperlinked hidden text above -it's https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/eliteguitarplans)

I thought it a bit weird someone specialising in guitars with a sideline in paddlewheel kits but you never know!!

...I bookmarked a paddlewheel kit from them which they had listed as about £48 if I recall, though the listing has gone now and I've no references for anything re-listed since.  If I recall they were offering something like a pair of 100, or 120mm diameter wheels (non-feathering).
No idea if this is of any use regards paddlewheel kits rather than hulls but I thought it might be a response as never seen anything off the shelf since the old Graupner offerings.  I consider a hull easier to build from scratch than the actual wheels.

Cheers,
Rich

You could always try Float a Boat http://www.floataboat.com.au They have an extensive range of paddle wheel kits.
They don't have them in their catalogue but they have some in their newsletters. Contact Rhonda or Arian for details.
Some photos I copied from some of the newsletters. I know there's more as I've seen the display cabinet in the shop.
