Dimarcha
« on: October 08, 2016, 11:39:36 am »

morning all
My first post on this forum, although I have read some really interesting articles from other members. Some of the master classes are just inspirational. I am part way through building a anchor handling tug "Granit , from a free plan I found on the internet, which is nearly complete. I have just acquired the plans for a Vic Smeed " Dimarcha ". I understand this was a free plan in a 1965 model boats magazine. Could anyone point me in the right direction to acquire the magazine or at least the article. Many thanks and keep up the good work.

She is out of the water at the moment, due for a refit after being used as a diving vessel for the past few years. Now berthed in Suda bay in Crete. if any interest I will take attach some pictures for you, She is still a gracefull craft, but has been chopped around and neglected over the years. one day she will be restored to he original lines. we hope

Seriously?  3 Minutes 9 Seconds!  That must qualify as a Mayhem record!  Nice looking boat by the way!

It was just pure coincidence that I switched on at that time and recognised the name of the boat. I hope he received the copy - I've had no reply yet.

Thank you all for your help. I received the pdf's and will make a donation as suggested. Really interesting to see the photos she's obviously been working hard of late. Hopefully she will be returned to original condition one day. Thank you both.

Just starting to complete a part built Deans Dimarcha kit bought on eBay. Interesting to see the pictures of Angela showing a planked deck. The kit instructions show the deck, apart from the well deck,  as dark blue trakmark ( or similar). Can find only one fuzzy b/w picture of the original Dimarcha that tells me nothing. Does anyone have more information.
