WAVENEY class Lifeboat for sale, nicely built .
« on: July 01, 2025, 10:28:36 pm »

For sale, Metcalf/Tony Green Steam 1:12 scale Waveney class lifeboat.

I bought this only a couple of months ago, and with the help of a fellow modeller who got it all working under R/C it is now ready for the water.

However she is a big model and with 2 x 12v 7ah batteries for both propulsion and ballast she is a heavy boat, and too heavy for me with my medical problems to bend and put her in a lake.

As such, she is for sale as £795 or nearest best offer.

She has been built very nicely by the old Coxs'n of the actual Whitby boat, and I have to say  he has made a lovely job of her and is what I was attracted to in the first place when I saw her.

She needs a clean up especially on the hull with warm soapy water  but little else.

She comes fully fitted with Buhler motors, radio gear, two Electronise 15amp speed contollers, , battery pack for the esc's and two 12v 7ah sla batteries. Plus a new unused 2,4ghz rx/tx radio set.

The RX seen in the photos is a 40mhz receiver and belongs to another boat and will be removed.

After looking at other model lifeboats for sale on eBay and forums in comparison I really do believe she is worth £795..... ONO as she is so nice.

I will deliver within a 50 mile radius from Poulton le fylde for £25 quid, or the buyer can pick up personally from my home..

The photos show the detailing

Thank you for your interest.

thanks to all who have viewed this lovely model.

however if it hasn't been sold by next thursday, the day before we go down to Poole for the weekend to view the Shannon 13-03 which has had my name put on to the boat then i will have funded the weekend from alternative scources, and will therefore withdraw it from sale, as i may as well sail it myself and get some pleasure out of it.

So, next thursday afternoon is last chance saloon for buying it.
thanks.

Well, thank all of you that viewed this lovely boat but I am now getting our stuff together for our trip down to Poole and to see my name on 13-03 for the long weekend.
So as stated in the add last week the sale has reached a conclusion and hopefully after we get home, I'll have a little time to enjoy sailing her soon.

SALE now over. thanks.
