Greetings to fellow modellers
I am wondering how many others in this hobby share my frustration.
During my periodic surfing sessions, looking for photos of various warships I have stumbled onto many wonderful scale models
built by experienced modelers, photos which motivate me to plan my next build. However, as motivating as these photos are, they do not provide critical information for those who are interested in planning the electrics for their new projects. That info seems to be stamped " Top Secret "
When I see a photo that excites the creative side of my brain, my first reaction is to look for information that will help me duplicate that design, not so much the construction of the superstructure rather the more important info on the drive train. If I am planning a 48 inch model it would be valuable to know what class of motors are installed in a model of that same size, genre and weight . Viewers can assume that a model being displayed on any web site performs to the satisfaction of the builder, unless stated otherwise.
I am requesting that where possible , when a narrative is included with a photo, include a single statement which explains the
motor(s) prop ,battery comination.
Thanks to all those who may be willing to add that extra line of text
Cheers from my dockyard
