firstly let me say thankyou to Martin for sorting out my registration problem! the hazard of living in france!
I will declare here and now I know nothing about model boats. My reason for being here is to learn. I have been a railway modeller for 45 + years and have recently started to build a G-scale (1/22.5) garden layout depicting a french village in 1910. My choice of this period has neccessitated scratchbuilding all houses,shops etc and most of the people.There will be a river (or canal) 5 metres long running thru' the middle of the layout and i would like to have a fishing boat and /or barge featured on it.
I have researched and not got very far so would be grateful for any suggestions as to prototype and also easiest method of construction.all my locos will be radio controlled and would like to the same with the boats. The river will be about 2 ft in width
