Yorkshireman
My First Attempt !!?!

The Yorkshireman was built after a visit to the Model Slipway Stand at the first Gt Yarmouth boat show. (There is another show this year,  October 2002- see Model Boats mag for details - www.modelboats.co.uk )

It was built straight out of the box, with no changes apart from working lights.
The motors are 545s with 2:1 reduction belt drive gearboxes. 6 volt electrics.
The radio gear is 7 ch Fleet with mixer for better control.

It was first fitted with Action speed controllers which gave fair results. They have now been replaced with my own design Linear speed controllers with much improved turning circle, along with a much better bollard pull.

Scale..1:48
Length..875mm (34.5")
Beam...240mm (9.5")
Disp...13kg (28lb)
Bollard Pull ... is 2.5 lbs
Picture by me at Gorleston Model Pond.
