The exhibition was held in a dedicated show ground north of Poitiers. The
extensive grounds included a dedicated
flying site, a paved car racing circuit, an unpaved circuit for off road
models and a large lake with a permanent harbour.
There were many displays of vehicles, with a strong presence from the
enthusiasts of highly decorated lorries.
The racing car fraternity were (noisily) in evidence!
A skilled pilot gave a superb demonstration with a model helicopter.
Few captains launched the pride and joy on the lake.
A superb, sit down lunch with 4 courses, wine and coffee was served at an
excellent price. A la Francais….
no sandwich and burger stalls here!
I did not take the opportunity to visit the railway exhibits but I did see a
very large track layout occupying a large
field and providing rides for all who asked.
The smallest representation was from traders but I still managed to spend
some money!
