1/12th yachting gent?
« on: April 14, 2008, 04:58:37 pm »

Anyone know where I can get a pair of 1/12th figures for my model boat?
I'm looking for a gent in a blazer and white yachting cap, and a lady in 40's - 50's summer wear.

Thanks.

If you dont require a doll type of soft dress you could re-sculpt a figure to suit, similar to what most collectors of military figures do.
I scupt fantast figures and could give you pointers. ;)
Try using an epoxy based clay like Apoxie sculpt or even at a push plumbers putty.

Lots of good resources on the net for getting the basics.

oh no, not another hobby! :D :D {-)
thanks, but i'm all fixed up for things to do. :)

I just thought a couple of fifties figures woyld set off the boat nicely, but I'm not going to get too involved in it.  O0

Try Googling `Dolls Domain`.   Our local (Leamington Spa) dolls house shop do just the things you want.   Pete M

Thanks. Its not the figures themselves thats the problem, I wanted them in 50's "yachting weekend" style. O0

Royal Yacht Squadron or Corinthian?

The "Blazer" you refer should be a double breasted reefer..black buttons..(brass were infra dig)
