Boat Test
« on: April 27, 2008, 11:20:31 am »

:-\ :-\As some of you know I am building a Glynn Guest version of a colony class cruiser.

In reading about the build in the Model Boats Mag, I did not take on board a statement made by Glynn with regards to the security of the prop.

Yesterday I took the boat along to my club pond, launched it and away it went. I must have got the weights distributed correctly because it was a dream to watch, especially the bow wave created. All of a sudden the engine screams and ship stops. Result, lost prop. Not only the prop but a bushing as well.

More haste less speed next time.

Hope this helps any other novices out there.
