I had a clear day today and set about installing the water cannons on Red Pelican.
Sounds great eh!! Sequence of events.
1. Get down boat and dust off and examine situation and requirements.
2. Find Graupner water pump and connect to battery. Loud noise and not a lot of pressure.
3. Find clear plastic hose, same diameter as nozzles on pump.
4. Cut piece from rear to front of boat.
5. Realise there are two fire hydrants fitted to deck.
6. Make 'T' piece from copper tube and solder together.
7. Push plastic tube on 'T' piece and push other end on hydrants.
8. Drill Hull and fit water scoop beside keel near prop.
9. Seal scoop and retire for dinner.
10. Connect short pipe from scoop to pump.
11. Take boat to garden pool.
12. Connect battery to pump.
13 Wonder why boat is listing to the left.
14. Look in boat to see 2 inches of water.
15. Disconnect pump and locates loose tube end from bow section.
16. Make metal clips for tube, over nozzles.
17. Return to pool and try again.
18. Water squirting over Patio.
19. Wonder what that 'whirring noise' is coming from pump and why water has stopped.
20. Return to bench and drill out pump rivits to access inside.
21. Throw stipped gears into bin and salvage pump motor.
22. Select second pump from Volvo windscreen washer.
23. Find input hole the size of garden hose.
24. Drill pump and fit correct size copper tube.
25. Blank old hole.
26. Connect to pipes and it's back out to the pool.
27. Connect to battery and watch water going up the house windows.
28. Wooshing noise as pipes come adrift.
29. Boat starts sinking.
30. Rip out system and call it a day.

Must remember to blank off water input nozzle. Don't want any more agro with the blue stuff.
