Crew Training - Helicopter exercise 9th January 2011

Tenby Lifeboat crew trained this morning with Helicopter Sea King 169 flown by RAF 22 Squadron from Chivenor in near ideal conditions.
RAF No. 22 Squadron has been based in Chvenor since 1955, having flown Wessex helicopters for a number of years before receiving Sea Kings in the mid-1990s. Although headquartered at RAF St Mawgan, the Squadron maintains three detachments at Chivenor ('A' Flight), Wattisham ('B' Flight) and Valley ('C' Flight).
