Electronic pegboard

Yes - I want to know what it is as well!
I've just been asked by a customer if we do such a thing. Clearly we don't, but if anyone has experience of one of these then I'd be grateful for any information about what it does and how one would operate a frequency control regime with such a gizmo. There might be a limited market out there..... ;)

Dave , maybe it's a larger version of the freq checker that we use at shows .
Not a bad idea realy the only problem is how do you tell who is on the channel that is lit without pegs.

This may be what is meant.

I have seen something like this in Maplins. It is like a science kit. It is a plastic board with holes in for school kids to do electronic experiments with. the components plug/slot into the pegbaord and wires are connected at the back. i assume the components are on some kind of block with pins to fit into the pegboard.

i hope my description is making sense, but probably not.

The other thing he might mean is a Frequency peg board, like what some clubs use to keep tabs of who is on what freq. using coloured clothes pegs

Try prototyping board from Maplin.
enables you to build circuits for testing without a soldering iron!

Sorry :embarrassed:
What about a PC software program, type your name against your freq and is shows on the screen?
Only a wild guess!

Dave (FLJ), hi there  O0

if the electronic pegboard is similar to the one which was being discussed on another Forum; what the fly people are thinking about; it is basically a multi-frequency scanner.  As well as having lights to indicate what frequency is being used; you also have an electronic 'clip'.   The clip - clips on to your transmitter aerial sending information back to the pegboard - saying that your transmitter is on line.   As soon as you remove, or someone else comes on with the same frequency, the pegboard sends out an immediate alarm.   The alarm is picked up by your clip on your aerial - and that indicates to you that someone in the vicinity is on your frequency.

Bloobs
That sounds like what the man was asking for. Don't think we'll be in the market with one any time soon, though! Thanks to one and all anyway.
