Zagi's are fairly recent foamies aren't they? that means that Andy is in fact a lmodern long haired yoof - and not like the rest of us throwbacks from the dark ages.

Do i take it that you fly slope mostly?

Yup only slopers now at Ivinghoe Beacon, haven't been power flying in nearly a year.

Have a 'Shockie' upstairs which I fly in the park out the back of my house, a Spitfire that I haven't flown in a while and an Irvine Tutor 40 which is now residing in the loft.

Zagis are great fun, ideal for begginers and fairly cheap. Any Zagi can be powered, even that small one (it was actually designed for a brushless and LiPo's, but I left those bits out). Also have the advantage of being pretty much indestructable.

The great thing now is that I've completely filled the loft with planes, boats and cars, so my mum doesn't go up there and so can't complain about the mess O0

I've told my dad that we have room up there for about 10 more gliders, and so tell him to get his wallet out when someone offers one for sale. I'm a good person really

Honest.

Hi Andy,Andy here ,nice collection of gliders, no oil stains to ruin your lovely model, i like gliders too and my loft is full of planes and boats( motorbikes and helis etc.) I thought you might like to see my flair K8, 147 inch span, the best kit I have ever had the pleasure of building. I do have one problem,I sold the transmitter and reciever a while ago with a large boat I had,so having moved on to building mini speedboats I will probably not fly it.It does have 7 servos fitted (JR and Futaba) It has never been flown, which is a shame, but none of the slopes I flew at had a big enough space for it to land, zagis are ideal for this, you can even catch them and not put your fingers through it.K8 is Beautiful, probably best plane I have built (i have built over 90 planes so far,got pictures of 95% of them, only got about 15% of planes though, sold some, lost one,had quite a lot of 'vertical landings'. If you are interested in my 'hangar queen', phone me on 07799098390, i have lots of other stuff to sell as well, just need to get round to advertising it all,I am pretty busy doing my mini speedboats now(see my Viper and Minimax in the builds section- mini speedboat project) Hope you are interested,Andy M.

I cut my RC teeth on gliders. I love the sight of  a quarter scale (or bigger!) glass ship thermalling on a hot day or soaring off the slope.

I always wanted a go at aero towing but couldnt get anyone in the club to become a scale tug pilot so eventually had to sell my quarter scale ASW 24.

You can now get scale retracting self launch motors that will take the biggest gliders up from a flat surface. Marvellous!

Blimey!! An Electra-Fly!!
Sure takes me back.............
Wish I hadn't been swayed about that dihedral though; looks daft and isn't necessary.
Maybe next time around, eh?
