I have been using these Robbe ones for a fair number of years.
Make sure you put no real heavy loading or get into a position where you can stall it (jammed radar). They will strip the flimsy nylon gears without even thinking about it. A £20+ throwaway job.

You might get a lot more satisfaction from trying these people

This model is usually a good one for radar

The first two gear ratios being the best.

Cheaper, more speed ranges and you can get them as small as 6mm diameter. Most come with metal gears.

ACTION used to do a radar motor, I have one in an old ship model, I bought it from Craig at a show.

Ask Dave, the current proprietor of Action, (Full Leather Jacket in this Forum) his contact details are in the Traders Directory. I am sure his price will be much less than that which you quote.

There's also this option

All the resistors etc are supplied and you can get three of these for the price of one Robbe unit  O0

....and there was I thinking this Forum was a friendly place! I recommend a trader and he then curses me.....

Dave (FLJ) with friends like you, who needs enemies? After all, from your own confession, we now know that it is Liz who does all the work while you lounge around cursing customers!

Hi FLJ i got two of them from hunter systems, but i didnt wanna run it on a single aa batt ( my s/s runs on 4.8v ) i wasnt sure at how to get it to run right on 4.8v it would just got spazo  {-)

so i got the robbe one, which runs at the right V for my s/s

i do like the speed from the single aa though

Your choice, sir - it's a broad church! Not sure what the photo is, though.
