Smit Rotterdam lights
« on: July 19, 2008, 10:31:42 am »

Hi ,this is my first post. Love your site. Am looking forward to sharing much. I am in the middle of building my second model which you may guess is the
Billings "Smit Rotterdam". My first was a scratch-built speed boat powered by a whipper snipper motor(great fun).
I plan to power the model along with lighting and bow thruster.
I must admit I'm struggling a bit with lighting assignment and setup.
I think I've downloaded every pic from the net i can find of both the original and model boat but am still unsure of the light colours on the super structure(radio tower). Billings are a little unhelpful in this regard in their plans as well. Any help or pics would be much appreciated

Thanks for prompt replies. The pictures of your model look fantastic lit up. The particular problem I have is the signal lights  as you would see from my photos. From what I understand a vessel with restricted movement may show red-white-red vertically and a vessel towing may show either yellow flashing or constant on yellow (which I have not put in pic because I don't know where to put it). I do know about the flood lights and forward white light. Billings give no indication about above mentioned signal lights though unfortunately. Any Ideas

Ps       Followed the link THANKS
boy have I got sum work to do
