CAD2:
Try this link

Both ASTEC and ACTion make suitable mixers for model boats. Beware of mixers intended for aircraft (e.g. for Vee tails or "flapperons"); they can work against you in reverse.

Peterm:
I have an Aqua Riva which is steered by two motors.   I took the easy way out and used a speed controller (Viper 15) for each motor, each ESC controlled by its own stick on the transmitter.   This system works well.   Pete M

cheers for the link CAD2 thats just what im after and theres diagrams aswell which is a big help as i can see where things go.

what would be best 2 or 4 channel as im not going to be using rudders for the moment??

 ;D ;D
cheers
Jay

flag-d:
Jay, you don't say what type of boat it is, ie fast or slow.  For a faster boat, I'd certainly use rudders as they will enable smooth turns without an excessive loss of speed.  I'd go with Pete on using twin ESC's, one for each motor.  This gives excellent manouverability and fine control, possibly what you're looking for, especially in a slower model.  Mixers work very well, but work on mixing the rudder servo signal with the throttles (at least I think they do...I haven't used them before) so you'll need a rudder channel anyway.  I'd be tempted to go straight for the 4 ch set, but then I'm just greedy!

Hope you get it sorted out OK, whatever you choose.

J.beazley:
im upgrading my Severn again as ive fried the electrics (used to thin a wire me thinks), its only the small "toy" version but its in need of the internals apart from motors.

i want to change my c.c.lee victory fast electric from dog drive to hydro drive with surface piercing props thus why i ask about mixers for that, on the other hand everything above is for my Severn.

hope i make sence cause sometimes i dont make sence myself. ::)
