beginner dumb question?
« on: August 16, 2006, 07:24:39 pm »

if i was to get a 4 channel transmitter. and an extra rx,s/c etc. could i run two boats of one transmitter. eg if channel 1 & 2 was for one and 3 & 4 was for the other?
It seems straight forward enough to me but is the any funny reasons why this wouldnt work?

apart from being ambidextrose (eh!) yes it is possible, but keeping your eye on one while trying not to sink the other is tricky, did it a couple of months ago with the s boat and corvette, since i havent sailed for a couple of years i gave up quite quickly, also had to change the channels to suit steering motor fwd/rev etc, so time consuming, if the boats are being used like bumper cars then it would be great for the kids.

Its probably easier than juggling two transmitters, but I wouldn't place any bets on either being workable by us normal ambisinistrous mortals.

i suppose it saves on clogging up the frequencies if you want to run twice as many boats at the same time ie tug towing etc,

any one ever thought of a convoy at an open day, i know a new olimpic event - synchronized  sub hunting !!!! ;D

If you are going sub hunting I am going to have to get my torpedos armed and we will see who wins then...

yes, and i know what freindly fire is after being 'RAMMED' by 'tigerfish' a NWMBC sub.

Granted, he never knew where the thing was going to surface, had a funny way of launching it though!
