Back in the '60s I bought a saw blade, about 1"x4" from a model railway catalogue. It was obviously a replacement blade for a handle I couldn't afford as it had no back but some holes and slots. I mounted it in a bit of meccano.
Anyone seen the like nowadays? I think the option for cutting slots would be usefull with a backless blade. Even Shesto only have the backed ones.

Martin is this any good to you.

Yep I got that one. Bought it at Woodvale years ago. There was an article in one of the mags sometime ago that explained how you could take the 'saw' bit out and turn it around so it cut on the push stroke. Never bothered myself!

Think I've tried cutting small diameter brass tube with this but its not very good. Found better results with either a sharp stanley knife or a fine junior hacksaw.
