Vintage snowmobiles

I've been a snowmobiler off and on since 1969, but in the last couple years I have gotten into vintage stuff (same machines from when I was a kid).
As long as they aren't race machines or rare high performance sleds they are cheap to buy and simple to work on. Our "new" machines are from the 90s and the oldest one we have is a 1968.

This is a 1968 Ski-doo original and unrestored, she was used hard but still works great. I'll restore her in the next year or two, when I finish a 1970 I'm working on.

This is a 1978 Arctic Cat I did a over haul on the motor and cleaned her up for a buddy of mine. It had been sitting in a barn for about 15 years before my friend saved her.

That Ski-do looks like an old Olympic. My folks used to have one on the farm up in Bruce County in the late 60's. Good machines, but as you say, primitive by today's standards. Good to see some of these old jobs survive.
