Just found this in my desk drawer, it's a souvenier plate we had made up to give to all those who attended the Easter 1988 sub dive-in, co-organised by the Yate & Sodbury model boat club and the AMS. I had mine on the stand of my USSBN Patrick Henry, I remember taking it off when I sold the boat.

There's a story attached to this if anyone is interested....it involves Bernie Wood and me getting arrested in Winchester car park at one o' clock in the morning for suspected drug dealing, phone calls to Derek Battson of the Y&SMBC to verify who we were (he promptly denied ever knowing us....) and that man Murdoch of the Daily Mirror.

Anyone here remember that show at Yate? I'll never forget it....

Yes i remember this week end, i also remember that a certain Ron Perrot is still searching for his torpedo's fired that week end. Many stories have been told over the years and some of us remember well the asdic sound from Stan Robinson, was it really running 24/7. yes Rich, Derek Battson is still alive and kicking. I also remember a weekend in Plumpton playing with subs, and who forgot to put the cover onto the mian switch, yes, i still have the greeting card it created. I think we all remember the good old days we spent with Bernie, it would be nice to keep in touch.
