Afraid I'm not a submariner, but I thought that was brilliant, especially as we watched Das Boot again last week.

There's a long version? Ours is 4 hrs 42 mins, is that the long version or is there a longer one?

Rich.... if you stick the tube at the other ends it`s either a snorkel or an exhaust-pipe....

No, that is the long version but there is a short 2hr version as well.

The nearly 5 hour version seemed short enough, only lasted us two evenings, so can't imagine getting much out of a 2-hour quickie  :)

... the 5 hours-version is the so-called "directors-cut" and the CD of the directors cut still keeps some scenes which had been not shown, neither nor....

... which means, there is still somethjing coming afterback.... even if it is a "Longie".... ;)

We bought our copy in the local supermarket for a few Euros. Not sure how many, but we never buy any DVD for more than 6 or 7 €
