Do you ever ask yourself why you choose to make model boats? I bl**dy well do!!
I thought I'd have a relatively easy job on, just connect up the linkages to the X-tail rudders on U-33, won't take long I thought....how wrong can a man be?
It took me ages, the best part of a packet of tobacco, countless cups of coffee, and the total loss of my sanity. What a caper it turned out to be...but at least it's done now. Or rather, the temporary fitting is done...now all I have to do is to get everything lined up and those minute grub screws secured. Oh, and make up a support of some sort..
Four lengths of brass wire for the linkages, another length of brass wire and a length of brass tube for the prop shaft....and all in a tiny space no more than 2" across, 2" deep and tapering back steeply. Why do we do this?

I'm going to lay down in a darkened room now.....
