They are cheap and small and handy if you don't feel like doing it the fancy bending fixture way.

Any large nut 1" or 25mm or larger will work at least two taper pins.
In the states we have displays like this or with metal /plastic drawers in the fastener section of the hardware store.

here is the assortment of taper pins. Using taper pins is mainly for the fact they are easier to remove rather than straight sided ones.

What is shown is RG45 gas welding rod, copper clad steel comes in 36" lengths and comes in handy for all kinds of projects. the 45 refers to tensile strength, and is cheaper than the higher number versions.
By placing six sets of holes on each nut you can have all your common sized benders ready.  They also work for warmed plastic, and steamed or soaked wood strips. The gas welding rod or TIG welding rods come in an assortment of sizes 1/16",3.32",1/8" 3/16". 1/4" and up. They also come in bronze(some naval bronze), aluminum, steel, copper, and stainless steel. The local welding shops will have the common types. They can be also bought on line, and generally sold by weight . And they are cheaper than buying them one at a time at the local hobby shop.

And for those that aren't familiar with it, the red and blue on the nuts is layout dye. Used in machine and sheet metal shops. It comes in handy when you have a lot of layout on metal objects.
