off for four nights in Vienna with mrs and my sister in Nov - what's to see, where's to eat?

If its still there, I can recommend 'The Cuckoo' (der Kuckuck)  restaurant. Can't remember the address. I could take you there if you pay may fare {-) Its off the Kartnerstrasse, walking away from the cathedral its a street on the left.

The Spanish Riding school is worth a visit if your in to horses, if the Christmas Market is on that's always interesting.

Some lovely gardens, probably too cold in November  :(( , the emperors palace (if you like that sort of thing) and lots of nice bars. Get yourself a tourist pass for the tube save quite a bit.

Not knowing any German, apart from the usual please and thank you, I got the internet to translate Cuckoo! As I originally got the internet to translate the German name of the restaurant to English, this probably means that the actual name is nothing like this {:-{
