Static Build
« on: March 23, 2011, 11:31:18 pm »

Here's a couple pics of a sloop I'm currently building POB. The pics are of the static version, which is 1/8 scale. I am currently sewing up the sails so the rigging can be completed.
I took the plans to a local print shop and had them expanded so the RC version will be approx 73" from boom-end to the end of the bowsprit. She's a gaffer with a single headsail.

Very nice!

One-eighth scale bottlescrews, eh? I could be using a few of those myself in the not-too-distant. May I ask where you got them?

Hi Andy, the bottlescrews aren't specifically for 1/8th scale, I just used them because of their size being correct to the scale. They came from <www.loyalhannadockyard.com>. They have a pretty extensive web site.
