All things scaley!
« on: November 11, 2008, 07:18:46 pm »

I have had a keen interest in reptiles since I was a boy, particularly snakes.  I saved my pocket money and, much to my mothers horror, bought my first snake when I was 13 years old.  Up until recently I was breeding various species and have my own website which you can look at if you want!  It looks a little boring at the moment as I am no longer breeding them but the website was originally my means of selling the snakes.  Several pictures dotted about on there though...

Enjoy,

James.

James
I hope the announcement on your front page, that you had stopped breeding snakes, had nothing to do with the picture just above the message.
It shows you holding a large specimen with an obviously well-used BARBEQUE in the background  :o :o

You wouldn't .....    <:(

Footski, I'm sure you'd love a snake if you gave one a chance.. just need to keep an eye on the sharp end!!  %)

Danny,  Have no fear, none of my snakes went on the barbeque - they were too big for it!!  {-) {-)

andygh, Yes I was at Cottesmore...

Blimey, the hours I spent in there  %%, in a slightly wobbly state we decided to walk back across the airfield one night, probably had no money left for a taxi, 2 regiment landrovers with searchlights chasing us, didn't get caught though

Like the snakes by the way, don't think my missus'd go for it though

I've spent a fair number of hours in there myself!  I used to spend more time in the Sun Inn in Cottesmore village though.. Did you ever drink there?  Glad you like the snakes, my missus wasn't keen on the idea when we met but she soon got over it.. Didn't give her much choice really though!

What trade were you in?

Yes we frequently used the Sun but it was usually infested with rodneys when I was there. Preferred the Ramjam on the A1, or a pub crawl round Oakham usually ending with crispy noodles at the Chinese takeaway, I think it was on Cold Overton Rd

I was a GenMechE, ground electrician. I spent most of my posting in the MT section repairing Fire engines, tankers & tractors

Great times
