That is one of there own engines , they have not made for some years , but give Brian Martin a ring his number is on there web site or e-mail  and he will be able to help you out with any info you need (he is slow), they are a very nice engine and boiler, the boiler is very light weight to keep the weight down the later ones had a ceramic burner.

Hmm that looks like a Topaz hull built up as an open launch rather than as the Topaz.  Nice though.

Ah right.  I don't think they were making that one by the time I found their models.

Cheers

The boiler wrapper is made of a nicke,l cannot remember if it was steel. it was used to keep the weight down low that is why it is so short for a vertical boiler with a copper cover, they are very nice the way they are made. so care has to be taken with the boiler as they are not replaceable.
that is a very nice boat by the way, it should sail very well, each cylinder has its own oil supply, there was a build for one in model boats by Jon Godsell

Thanks all, this has been very helpful. I will await a response from Brian Marten. I purchased the model at a local store here in Newburyport, they normally deal with sailing ship models and knew very little about the model. Looking forward to running it.
